Arid: A Sculptural Collaboration
Two Exhibitions - Two Locations - One Common Theme

Re-generation, a powerful word in the harsh Australian context, where the environment and the people, animals and plants that live in it, are constantly challenged to regenerate and reform themselves.

It is the concept of ‘re-generation’ that a fresh crop of artists will examine in the third ARID – A Sculptural
Collaboration.

Since 2004, the Port Augusta City Council through the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden and the Fountain Gallery, in partnership with Country Arts SA, have jointly hosted ARID – A Sculptural Collaboration.

The extensive and beautiful grounds of the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden originally inspired this sculptural show, which is now firmly established as a highlight of the Port Augusta arts calendar.

Alongside of the exhibition in the Fountain Gallery where artists show the public their concepts and inspiration, the third ARID – A Sculptural Collaboration will be a mustsee vent of Port Augusta Re-Imagines!
Don’t miss the opening events, as for the first time in 2008, it will feature a local produce, food and wine festival, see www.australian-aridlands-botanic-garden.org
